Overview
About no claim bonus (ncb)
No Claim Bonus is a reward for a claim-free year. It is a discount on the own damage part of your premium when you renew.
NCB belongs to you, not to the vehicle. If you change your insurer, your NCB moves with you. If you make a claim, you usually lose the NCB for that year.

How to protect your NCB
- Renew on time. Insurers usually allow about 90 days after expiry.
- For small damage, think about paying yourself instead of claiming.
- Ask about an NCB protection add-on, if you want to keep your NCB after a claim (terms vary).
- Keep your NCB proof when you change insurer or vehicle.
